Kiona-Benton hired Hanford offensive coordinator Charlie Hobbick as its new coach, replacing Scott Biglin, who resigned last month to take over at Kamiakin.
Hobbick has coached in the Richland School District for 10 seasons. Last year, the Falcons led the CBBN in rushing offense (308.7 yards per game) and total offense (405.9) in finishing 6-4 and reaching the 3A regional playoffs.

BENTON CITY -- The Kiona-Benton football team hasn't exactly been blessed with success in its history.
This season, though, the Bears think they have that special something that could translate to not just a winning season, but possibly a home playoff game as well.
"I think we can go 9-1 at the very least," senior running back Dalton Morgan said. "And play tough against Connell; I think we can beat Royal."
Coming from anyone else's mouth, those words would probably be snickered at.
