BURBANK -- Ethan Dillon and Keenan Van Hollebeke combined on a one-hitter for Connell in a 15-3 win over Columbia (Burbank) that earned a split of Tuesday's SCAC East baseball doubleheader in Burbank.
The split kept Connell's hopes of a share of the division title alive.
The Eagles must sweep Royal on Friday to tie River View for the crown, but the Panthers own the tiebreaker and are the No. 1 seed to next week's district tournament.
Burbank won the opener 7-6 on Ethan Ireland's one-out RBI single in the seventh.
The Coyotes clinched the No. 3 district seed.

WENATCHEE -- Kennewick sent 16 batters to the plate in a 10-run fourth inning of Game 2, erasing an early 5-0 deficit and securing a sweep of its CBBN Columbia doubleheader.
Blake Eastman hit a three-run double and Michael Gordon and James McKinnis each had two base hits in the inning.
The sweep, combined with Southridge and Moses Lake also sweeping, created a three-way tie for the division title, necessitating a two-game playoff to determine the No. 1 district seed.
Kennewick plays Moses Lake on Friday at Big Bend CC, with the loser the No. 3 seed and relegated to a first-round, loser-out game Tuesday.
The winner plays Southridge on Saturday at Richland for the No. 1 seed and an automatic berth into the double-elimination portion of districts.

YAKIMA -- Cody Shepherd went 5-for-6 with a pair of homers and six RBIs for Richland, which secured the CBBN Cascade title out-right with a sweep of West Valley.
The Bombers hit four homers - Brett Jacobs and Quinn Zorich also connected. Shepherd also threw five-innings of four-hit ball in the first game, and Stinson Ott improved to 7-0 with five shutout innings in the finale.
"We had five double plays on the night and no errors," said Richland coach Ben Jacobs. "That was a big part of it."

The split secured second place in the CBBN Cascade for Kamiakin, which is off for 10 days before going into the 4A district tournament as a No. 2 seed.
