She pitched a two-hit shutout in the opener and went 5-for-8 with a triple, two doubles and three RBIs in a Southeast 2B sweep of DeSales.

Wade French, Fr., Prosser
He shot an 82 at Black Rock Creek to share medalist honors and lead the Mustangs to victory at at a three-team CWAC match.

Will Hoppes, Jr., Tri-Cities Prep
He tossed a four-hitter and struck out 10 in the opener, then went 3-for-5 with a homer in the nightcap of a sweep of Dayton.

Kasey McNeill, Sr., Southridge
She anchored the Suns victorious 4x100 relay and also posted fifth-place finishes in the 100 and long jump at the Pasco Invite.

Julio Ramirez. Sr., Connell
He scored the game-winning goal in double overtime against Kennewick and the first goal in a 2-1 SCAC East win over Warden.

Luke Thompson, Fr., Hanford
He beat Tri-Cities Invite champion Troy Zuroske of Richland in three sets, then beat Kennewicks Josh Thornton in straight sets.

As expected the Tri-City high schools and Walla Walla officially submitted a letter to the Columbia Basin Big Nine to withdraw from the league at the end of the school year.
The Tri-City schools and Walla Walla High School will form a new league, featuring four Class 4A schools and four Class 3A schools.
The athletic directors and principals will meet next week to begin discussing playoffs, bylaws, schedules and a new name for the league.

Kennewick native still losing weight on 'Biggest Loser'
John Rhode is finding out exactly what he is made of as he moves closer to becoming the biggest loser on national TV.
The Kennewick native is a contestant on the reality series The Biggest Loser, which airs at 8 p.m. Tuesdays on NBC.
After this week's episode, Rhode was the last member of his three-man red team to stay in the game.
