Hanford won four titles and had two runners-up in ending Richland's two-year reign as team champion at the 29th annual Tri-City Invite tennis tournament Saturday.
The Falcons won both mixed doubles titles (Curtis Lan and Alex Sharpe at No. 1; Will Zhao and Jennifer Chou at No. 2), No. 2 boys singles (Luke Thompson) and No. 1 girls singles (Sam Merry) to amass 199 points.
The Nos. 1 and 2 boys singles championships both were decided in three sets. Richland's Troy Zuroske defeated Hanford's Jake Knox 6-2, 3-6, 6-4 for the No. 1 title, while Thompson rallied for a 4-6, 6-2, 6-3 win over Rich-land's Taylor Dickey at No. 2.
The No. 3 boys singles final also was an all-Richland affair, with the Bombers' John Talbot beating Hanford's Andrew Lea 6-3, 6-3.
Two Kamiakin doubles teams captured titles. Ali Welch and Demi Warner beat Walla Walla's Kendall Gehrett and Presley Peck 6-3, 6-2 in No. 1 girls, while Eddie and Andrew Chou won the No. 2 boys over a Richland duo.
