RICHLAND -- Josh Harvey shot a 1-under 71 to lead four Hanford golfers in the top 11 as the Falcons edged Eastmont by two shots for team honors at a CBBN boys pod match at Columbia Point Golf Course.
Walla Walla finished third, three strokes behind Hanford's 290 total, led by Greg Prins' 70, which tied for second, one shot back of medalist Spencer Ellis of Eastmont.

EAST WENATCHEE -- Hanford and Richland enjoyed a successful trip to East Wenatchee on Saturday, with both teams posting wins in their first swim meet since Dec. 10.
There were no state qualifying times for either team, but Richland or Hanford finished first in all but four events.
Will Wertz and Jake Douglas were a part of Hanford's winning 200-yard medley and 400 freestyle relays. Nick Connors took the 200 individual medley and 100 butterfly for Richland.

WALLA WALLA Hanford, Richland and Walla Walla were locked in a three-way battle all season for CBBN 4A-3A boys swimming supremacy.
On Saturday, when the title race reached the final stretch, it was Hanford that made it through unscathed.
The Falcons claimed their first 4A-3A league championship, defeating Walla Walla 91-79 at Whitman College's Harvey Pool to finish the season 8-0.

The edge went to Walla Walla on Saturday at the 4A district boys swimming and diving championships in Ellensburg.
Despite missing out on diving points, the Blue Devils had enough swimming depth to beat reigning champion Richland 428-425 and give Katharine Curles a district title in her first year as coach.
Hanford cruised in its quest to retain the 3A title, beating runner-up West Valley by 81.5 points.

The Richland and Hanford boys swimming teams placed in the top 15 on Saturday at the 36-team Kentridge Invitational in Federal Way.
Hanford's Will Wertz picked up state-qualifying times with his top-10 finishes in the 200-yard freestyle (seventh, 1 minute, 50.21 seconds) and 100 free (10th, 50.02 seconds). Teammate BJ Deatherage was third in 1-meter diving.
