Chiawana wrestlers take first-day lead at district tournament
Earlier this season, the Chiawana Riverhawks won their second league title and ran the table in the CBBN 4A.
Now, they are working on their first district championship.
The host Riverhawks jumped out to a 31-point lead Friday in the first day of the CBBN 4A district, moving 15 wrestlers into today's semifinals.

KENNEWICK -- Kamiakin's KT Bragg clocked one minute, 20.19 seconds to finish first in the 100 butterfly and also swam the first leg in the first-place 200-yard freestyle relay team (1:57.46) as the Braves defeated Kennewick on Thursday in a CBBN 3A meet at Serier Pool.
The Lions won the 200 medley (2:15.24) and 400 free (4:30.32) relay races, each lineup featuring McKenzi Ham, Jacque Ines, Samantha Lester and Hailey Murphy.
