Mike Garrison announced Wednesday his intention to run for re-election to the Pasco City Council.
Garrison, a former Pasco mayor, has been on the council since 1988.
He said he's seeking another term because he thinks Pasco's future is bright and he wants to play a role in it.
"We've made a lot of strides in the city of Pasco the last 15 years or so," Garrison said. "I've been a part of that, and I want to continue to see the city expand and grow and get greater."
The primary election is Aug. 18 and the general election is Nov. 3.
