YAKIMA -- Makenzie Kinloch's five 3-pointers and 15 points led West Valley to a 50-21 victory Saturday in CBBN 3A action against Southridge.
Breanna Lyons' six points led Southridge, which had its season come to an end.
West Valley tied with Sunnyside for fourth place, but is the No. 5 seed in the district tournament based on strength of schedule. The two teams split in the regular season. They will play in an elimination game Friday at Sunnyside.

KENNEWICK -- After winning just one league game during the 2009-10 season, the Kamiakin girls basketball team is on top of the CBBN.

The Braves captured their second CBBN 3A league title in as many years -- they shared it with Eastmont last season -- with a 70-11 win over Pasco on Tuesday night in Kennewick.
