Those things you want to bottle up to preserve forever

My son was being his usual charming self when I felt the need — like I usually do every 15 minutes or so when my kids are behaving well — to tell him I love him.

“I know you do,” he tells me.

“You do?” I asked. “How do you know that?”

“Because you have loved me for a 100 years,” he said.

He knows me well.
