My son was being his usual charming self when I felt the need like I usually do every 15 minutes or so when my kids are behaving well to tell him I love him.
I know you do, he tells me.
You do? I asked. How do you know that?
Because you have loved me for a 100 years, he said.
He knows me well.

On Dec. 15, a generous woman who saw me frazzled at the West Richland Post Office paid for my packages to be shipped. A random act of kindness. I don't know your name or how to contact you, but I want to thank you and let you know that I will fulfill my purpose and continue to "pay it forward."
Christmas time is so hard for so many, and I want everyone to know that there are amazing people who demonstrate selfless acts every day. You changed me forever yesterday. Thank you.

Fast Focus: What's your opinion of urban chickens? A few chickens
If you own your property, it is your right to do on it what you want. The city should not have a say in it! Grow weed if you want, it's yours.
Unless it brings harm to others, I say live and let live. You never know when a few chickens might come in handy.
Say our government prints their way into hyperinflation, you might be dependent on those chickens. Bock. Bock.

Voluntary taxation

For those of you who are for the redistribution of wealth in this country, I have a suggestion for you. When you file your annual IRS form, include a check for whatever amount you would like to send to your favorite entitlement program. You can "earmark" it as the federal government knows all about earmarks. That way you can spend your money the way you want to and leave mine alone. I don't care how you spend yours but I do care about how you want to spend mine.
