SUNNYSIDE -- James Sanchez hit back-to-back 3-pointers to spark Sunnyside's game-ending 13-2 run as the Grizzlies erased a five-point deficit with 5 minutes left to win a first-round 3A regional game, turning aside visiting Mount Spokane 51-45.
Alfredo De La Barrera had 13 points and seven rebounds for Sunnyside, which plays Shadle Park in Saturday's semifinals in Spokane.

Othello leads CWAC/Great Northern League wrestling regional
Othello jumped out to a four-point lead over defending state champion Deer Park after Friday's opening rounds of the CWAC/Great Northern League regional at West Valley High in Spokane.
The Huskies have 12 of their 14 regional contingent still fighting for state berths with the tournament resuming today. Among those are eight semifinalists: Anthony Barrera (106 pounds), AJ Garza (113), Lucas Garza (126), Eric Garza (152), Matthew Melo (160), Stephen Villarreal (182), two-time state runner-up Joey Gomez (220) and Bubba Ruiz (285).
Grandview, in 12th place, has six wrestlers alive but just one in the semifinals, Martin Torres at 285. Prosser, in last place, is down to its final man, PJ Chong in the 220 consolation round.
