CBBN boys: Richland knocks off West Valley

RICHLAND -- Brett Jacobs hit two free throws with 23 seconds left to put Richland ahead to stay, and the Bombers held on for a 48-46 CBBN Cascade boys basketball win Saturday over West Valley at Art Dawald Gym.

The win sets Richland up to potentially grab the No. 2 district seed and a home first-round playoff game.

If Walla Walla loses Tuesday to West Valley, the Bombers and Wa-Hi finish tied for second, with Richland having swept the season series.

Dylan Radliff and Clint Smith scored 13 points apiece for the Bombers.

YAKIMA -- Case Rada scored 17 points, but Kamiakin couldn't overcome a 17-6 first-quarter deficit and fell to No. 3 Eisenhower in play within the CBBN Cascade Division.

The loss, coupled with Richland's win, locked Kamiakin into the No. 4 district seed.
