ELLENSBURG -- Tyler Pickett set a new district record in the 200 IM (2:00.86) as Richland earned its first 4A district title at Central Washington University.
The Bombers also set district records in the 200 medley and 400 freestyle relays.
"We are extremely happy right now. I don't think we could be happier," said senior Cody Roberts, who earned titles in the 100 butterfly (50.23) and 100 back (53.51).
In the 2A meet, Prosser's Tyler Burgett took titles in the 100 fly (52.52) and 100 breast (1:02.69).

3A districts
VANCOUVER -- Senior Joe Wertz won a pair of titles and Miles Phillips won the 500 freestyle to lead Hanford to the team title at the District 4/5 championships at Propstra Aquatic Center.
Wertz, who signed with Seattle University, won the 200 individual medley and 100 backstroke -- the latter in a school-record 53.08 seconds. He also anchored the victorious 400 free relay that clinched the team title.
In all, the Falcons earned eight state berths at the district meet. State is in two weeks in Federal Way.
