WAITSBURG -- Liberty Christian clinched its fourth league title in school history -- all under coach Terry Watson -- as the Patriots held on against a tough Waitsburg-Prescott team that beat them in Richland last Saturday.

Mark Wilson led all scorers with 26 points, and Derek Stratton added 17 points and 11 rebounds for Liberty Christian, which now turns its attention towards gaining a fourth straight trip to state.

"Today we had to win to get our No. 1 seed (to districts)," Watson said. "We played steady the whole game and made a lot of free throws. It was a gutsy win on the road."
