HILLSBORO, Ore. -- Joey Delgado (103 pounds) and Brandon Adolf (130) of Hermiston defeated their opponents to earn individual titles, and the Bulldogs finished third overall at the Reser Tournament of Champions in Hillsboro, Ore., on Saturday.
-- Ryan Downs (171)finished third for Southridge in the Lewiston Clearwater Classic in Idaho.
Teammates Israel Armenta (152), Josh Fischer (160), Mike Flores (215) and Grant Robinson (285) each placed fifth to mark the Suns' efforts.
Kennewick's Jack Loomis (third at 171) and Edvan Morales (fourth at 103) placed for the Lions along with teammate Saul Soto, who won the title at 160.
-- Sheridan McDonald (135) and Samantha Wright (140) of Kiona-Benton won their respective championships, and the Bears placed sixth overall at the Emerald Ridge Wrestling Tournament in Puyallup.
River View's Sam Beckwith (112) earned a championship, and Jessica Bergman (152) placed sixth for the Panthers.
Connell's Melissa Orozco (125) and Marisa Barragan (171-plus) each brought home third-place finishes.

PASCO P.J. Murillo is testament that as much as wrestling shines a light on individual achievement, at the end of the day it's about team.
Moments after his 9-2 decision Saturday in the 126-pound championship of the Bob Mars Tournament, the Chiawana junior was reflecting on what a difference a year makes.
Last year as a sophomore, Murillo finished sixth in this tournament. On Friday, he battled through two close decisions -- including a 6-5 win over Kamiakin's Junior Pina in a championship-worthy semifinal -- before taking charge of his title match with Daniel Percifield of Columbia-Burbank.

KENNEWICK The Kennewick Lions earned their seventh trip to state in nine years with a second-place finish in the 3A/2A competition at the District 5/6 girls bowling championship Friday at Spare Time Lanes.
Selah edged the Lions by 94 pins to take the 3A/2A title and the first of two available state berths. Moses Lake rolled a 3,639 to walk away with the 4A championship and the division's sole ticket to the state finals scheduled to begin Thursday at Narrows Plaza Bowl in Tacoma.
Kennewick had three girls place among the top eight in the 3A/2A race, with Daicee Singer third overall with 532 pins. Karissa Shiflet tied Selah's Taylor Jones for fifth with a 524, and Megan Weir finished a pin back in seventh.
