Southridge wrestles win from Pasco

KENNEWICK -- Jacob Norton's second-round pin off Ryan Johnson at 112 pounds sparked the Southridge wrestling team to a 36-27 CBBN Columbia dual-meet victory over visiting Pasco on Thursday night.

"I thought this was going to be a close meet," said Suns coach Dave Brown. "Our 112-pounder's pin was a bonus."

Kamiakin coach Ryan McCallum said that Garcia -- who usually wrestles at 119 -- missed his weight by a few ounces and it led to a "chain of reaction" that hurt the Braves' chances.
