I know the school is closer to us but there is another Washington school to be proud of. It's called the University of Washington. This is a great school that doesn't get enough credit in my opinion!

SEATTLE -- Just as Washington's maligned defense was showing a backbone, the Huskies are starting to get saddled with injuries.
Hau'oli Jamora, Washington's best defensive end, tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his knee last Saturday in the Huskies' 31-23 win over California. The school announced Monday he'll be out for the year but the Huskies feel Jamora is likely to be granted a medical redshirt for the injury.
Starting outside linebacker John Timu suffered a scary injury Saturday when he was inadvertently kneed in the back of the helmet. Timu was immobilized and taken off the field in an ambulance.

SEATTLE -- In the midst of getting his team ready for the Holiday Bowl a year ago, Washington coach Steve Sarkisian couldn't help but notice what was happening on the other side of the state.
Eastern Washington's run to the Football Championship Subdivision title brought the Eagles plenty of attention and a few more fans.
"This isn't the biggest state, so you have to support one another," Sarkisian said. "A lot of those are in-state kids and kids that we've had in camp or known through the recruiting process, and you wish them the best of luck. They earned it. They deserved it. It's good for the state of Washington that they did what they did."
