A Richland woman crashed her car into the back of a semi loaded with apples, tying up traffic Thursday for a short time on Interstate 182 near Richland.
Minor injuries were reported and the double-trailer semi caught fire, but it was quickly extinguished.
The collision was at noon in the westbound lanes of I-182 near the Interstate 82 interchange.
Maria Galvan, 26, was in her 2002 Volkswagen Passat when she ran into the semi as it was headed up a hill, the Washington State Patrol said. The impact wedged Galvan's car under the back of the trailer.
