Gov. Chris Gregoires campaign has a new radio ad running in the Tri-Cities that counters charges levied in ads that began running last week and were paid for by the Benton County Republican Party.
Ive posted Gregoires new ad at right.
It doesnt directly address the Areva situation that local Republicans are hammering her on. But it does feature Benton County Prosecutor Andy Miller, a Democrat, talking up Gregoires contributions to the community, including support of Hanford cleanup, the Washington State University Tri-Cities expansion and the states new Columbia River Management Program.
Youve probably heard the attacks but you deserve to know the truth about all Gov. Chris Gregoire has done for our area, Miller says.
The ad began running Friday on six stations and its run concludes today.

STATE: WA governor signs gay marriage bill into law
Gov. Chris Gregoire handed gay rights advocates a major victory, signing into law a measure that legalizes same-sex marriage in Washington state, making it the seventh in the nation to allow gay and lesbian couples to wed.
Gregoire signed the bill in the state reception room in the Capitol, surrounded by gay rights supporters. “I’m proud our same-sex couples will no longer be treated as separate but equal,” Gregoire said.
It’s a historic moment, but same-sex couples can’t walk down the aisle just yet.
The law takes effect June 7, but opponents are already mounting challenges on multiple fronts.
