50-word statement:
I'm running because I believe government can be improved. Seemingly good ideas in Olympia can sometimes hurt our schools, businesses or lives. Your representative should talk with you before voting. My experience in elected office shows I listen and care about what you say. I'd appreciate your vote. Thank you.
Three priorities:
1. Maintaining and growing strong public schools.
2. Cutting unnecessary taxes and stopping unchecked government growth.
3. Working to make Washington more business friendly, including nuclear and energy-related businesses to help reduce our demand for foreign oil.

With a new year on the horizon, it's a perfect time to dream about the future and set new goals and resolutions. If your plans include starting a new business, the best place to begin is with the U.S. Small Business Administration.
The SBA has offices across our region, and lenders, counselors and resource partners who work in right here in your community. With their help, we have been knocking down obstacles for entrepreneurs and small business owners for almost 60 years.
In fact, for the fiscal year that just ended, we helped provide 632 loans to small businesses in Washington. Nationwide, SBA had our biggest year ever.
