A nationwide test of the emergency alert system will air on TV and radio at 11 a.m. Wednesday.
The test will last about three minutes, but it will be different than the usual monthly test.

Energy Northwest plans to test one of its alert sirens between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Monday at 350 Hills St. in Richland.
Sirens will be sounded in a series of tests that can last up to one minute each. The siren is expected to be sounded 10 or more times.
