Avocado and Goat Cheese Appetizer
Ingredients
5 ounces goat cheese
5 avocados, halved, seeded, peeled
Juice of 1 lemon
1/2 teaspoon hot sauce
Kosher salt, to taste
French baguette, sliced
Tiny tomatoes, cut in half
English/hot house cucumbers, sliced
Instructions
Place goat cheese, avocados, lemon juice, hot sauce and salt in bowl and mash with a fork. The end result should NOT be smooth. Serve on slices of French baguette with tomatoes and cucumbers.
Makes 10-12 servings. Approximate nutritional values per serving: 180 calories (75.1 percent calories from fat), 4 g protein, 8 g carbohydrate, 1 g sugar, 6 g dietary fiber, 16 g fat, 10 mg cholesterol, 70 mg sodium.
