Fast Focus: Salaries need examination
Fast Focus: Salaries need examination
Without question, college administrators' salaries and perks are exorbitant and need to be revised through legislation. There are other public administrators whose salaries also are excessive, and vulnerable to corruption. We need to examine and audit the urban public school administrations, particularly the Seattle Public School District, Tacoma Public School District and other large districts. While we are at it, we also should examine all hospital administrators state-wide, especially those in public hospitals. Fifteen years ago, hospital administrators were the highest-paid public servants in our state. Are they still? Why are their responsibilities considered greater than the governor's?
