Hanford's Scott Kim fired a 73 on Wednesday at the Bellingham Country Club to finish 11th in the 3A boys state golf tournament.
Kim's finish was one of the best for the Mid-Columbia contingent competing in the Bellingham area.
Sunnyside's Justin Bos finished 25th with a two-day total of 154, while Hanford's Josh Harvey was 28th at 155, and teammate Alex Cantu was 35th at 158. The Falcons finished seventh as a team.
Matt Rawitzer of Squalicum won the tournament with a 139.
4A boys
Kamiak's Reid Martin took medalist honors with a 142 at Avalon Golf Club. Walla Walla's Drew Reinland finished 34th with a 158.
4A girls
Richland's Mary McDonald bounced back from a first-day 89 to score an 81 at Sudden Valley for a two-day total of 170, good enough for 15th place. Pasco's Kelsey Johnson placed 19th at 172. Bethel's Sadena Parks' 67 earned her a 13-stroke victory.
2A girls
Othello's Ashley Amoruso placed 13th at Homestead, scoring 183 over two days. Teammate Katie Gardner was 37th at 198. Bellingham's Claire Rachor won medalist honors with a 155.
1A boys
Royal's DJ Solis finished 12th at North Bellingham, scoring an 81 on Wednesday to finish at 160. Chris Johnson of Chimacum scored a 148, edging Ilwaco's Jack Whealdon by a stroke to win the state title.
1A girls
Royal finished third as a team at North Bellingham, as Alyssa Presgraves and Shelby Forester tied for ninth at 199. Teammate Lacy Goroski was 22nd at 218.
Warden's Kim McPartland finished 19th at 214. Chelan's Kelli Bowers won the state title with a 156 -- 15 strokes ahead of her nearest competitor.
1B/2B boys
Six area golfers placed at Lake Padden -- DeSales' Kingmond Tang (12th) and Sean Williams (41st); Lind-Ritzville's Ian Fitch (19th); Liberty Christian's Joel Hart (24th) and Kody Williams (28th); and Tri-Cities Prep's Collin Price (41st).
1B/2B girls
Tri-Cities Prep's Anna Ghirardo finished 16th at Lake Padden with a two-day total of 211. DeSales' Madeleine Roach was the top area finisher in ninth. Life Christian's Kristin Rue won the title with a 159.
