Sen. Rosemary McAuliffe, D-Bothell, has drawn an election year challenge and its from none other than Bothell Republican Dennis Richter.
Whos that? Wish I could tell you. But I cant find much on the guy.
We can report that his campaign website, DennisRichterForStateSenate.com, is not yet operative. Apparently TheLongestWebsiteNameInHistory.org was taken.
Not sure how you fit that on a yard sign.
At any rate, Richter takes on a veteran legislator who emerged from a three-way primary for an open seat in 1992 and has been elected by modest majorities in four general elections since. McAuliffe got 57 percent of the vote in 2004, providing her largest ever margin of victory.
Shes had raised almost $19,000 for her campaign as of April 30.
MONDAY UPDATE: Richters campaign website has gone live and you can get there by clicking on the link above.
