Golf roundup: Wa-Hi boys win district title

Gregg Prins led four Walla Walla golfers in the top eight with a 14-over 158 as the Blue Devils won the district title by by 10 strokes over Wenatchee.

Scott Paine topped the field for the Panthers with a 155 on the twin par-72 Horn Rapids and Meadow Springs on a blustery pair of rounds in Richland.

Drew Reinland finished third for Wa-Hi at 159, with teammates Cody Horton (fifth, 163) and Ryan Goude (eighth, 165) close behind. Richland's Kyle Campbell (160) placed fifth.

The top eight advance to state May 20-21 at Avalon GC in Burlington.
