This quarterfinal 2B game against 9-1 Almira/Coulee-Hartline started ominously for the Tri-Cities Prep Jaguars as the Warriors' Dylan Tipps ran for 56 yards and a touchdown to give ACH the early lead.

Tri-Cities Prep played host to Wilbur-Creston in the first round of the playoffs in eight-man football. The Jaguars came out fast and furious, posting 44 points on the visiting Wildcats in the first half, then scoring another touchdown early in the third quarter to end the game 50-0 on the mercy rule.

Sunnyside stunned Pasco with its first-ever win against the Bulldogs in a back-and-forth contest between the CBBN teams. Sunnyside's Israel Manzo was the star of the game with a touchdown catch, the game-winning field goal and two interceptions, including one that sealed the victory in the waning seconds.

In a thriller, Kamiakin defeats visiting Eastmont in overtime, 21-14, at Lampson Stadium in Kennewick.

Moses Lake visited Southridge for a hard-fought battle at Lampson Stadium on Sept. 18, 2009, in Kennewick, Wash. The Suns managed to outlast the Chiefs, taking control in the fourth quarter and winning 27-7.

The Kennewick Lions took on the visiting Sunnyside Grizzlies at Lampson Stadium on Sept. 17, 2009. The Lions dominated the Grizzlies, winning 43-24, with two of Sunnyside's touchdowns coming late in the game.

The Chiawana River Hawks won their first game in school history - and their first home game - by defeating the Hanford Falcons 20-14. Chiawana won on the strength of quarterback Luc Graff, who led the River Hawks in the air and on the ground.

Defending state champion Prosser ran its winning streak to 25 with a 53-14 victory over visiting CWAC rival Selah in the first round of the Class 2A state football playoffs on Friday, Nov. 14, 2008 at Art Fiker Stadium. National record holder Kirby Moore had 12 receptions for 264 yards and two touchdowns in the win.

Visiting Mount Spokane won a see-saw battle with Hanford, 42-39, in a regional high school football playoff game Nov. 7, 2008, at Fran Rish Stadium in Richland.

Richland traveled to Lampson Stadium on Oct. 18, 2008, to take on the Kamiakin Braves. Richland took a 28-0 lead into halftime and cruised to a 28-7 victory.

Pasco defeats visiting Walla Walla in thrilling fashion, 31-28. Quarterback Carlin Andrew led the Bulldogs back from an 11-point fourth-quarter deficit by first running for a touchdown, then catching the winning score with less than a minute left. Andrew threw for a touchdown, ran for two touchdown and caught a TD in the victory. Walla Walla's Spencer Hessler scored four touchdowns in the losing effort.
