Chris Hayes recorded a complete-game victory as Chapala Express defeated HAPO 4-1 to clinch the Richland Babe Ruth age 14-15 league title.
The Express finished with a 13-2 record.
Hayes, Parker Caine, Scott Donley, Mark Kehret, Shakeem Lakes and Brentyn Robinson were placed on the Richland 15U all-star squad. Zach Jio and Brandon Llarneas earned spots on the Richland 14U squad.
Their Chapala Express teammates included Jared Broeske, Jake Fankhauser, Joshua French, Michael Heaton, Dillon Hecock and Austin Marvel. The coaching staff included John Donley, Scott Hayes and Melvin Lakes.
The all-star tournament begins next week in Pasco.
