Preview: Oregon State at Washington State

PULLMAN — Here is a preview of today’s Oregon State at Washington State football game:

OSU (7-3, 5-2 Pac-10) at WSU (1-9, 0-7 Pac-10)

Kickoff: 2 p.m., Martin Stadium, Pullman.

TV: None.

Radio: KONA 610 AM, KGDC 1320 AM, KBSN 1470 AM.

Coaches: OSU—Mike Riley (63-45, ninth year). WSU—Paul Wulff (3-20, second year).

Players to watch:OSU—RB Jacquizz Rodgers (tiny dude has rushed for 1,148 yards and 17 TDs and caught 62 passes for 397 yards and one TD); WR-KR-PR James Rodgers (Jacquizz’s older brother, another little guy who can absolutely fly, leads the Pac-10 with 71 receptions, 832 receiving yards and 8 TD catches); QB Sean Canfield (leads Pac-10 with 2,566 yards passing yards, tied for lead with 17 TD passes); OLB Keaton Kristick (high-energy player leads team with 75 tackles); DT Stephen Paea (Wulff says the 6-foot-1, 285-pound junior is a load in more ways than one). WSU—C Kenny Alfred (rewarded for his four years of fine play on bad teams by being selected for the East-West Shrine all-star game); QB Kevin Lopina (senior makes first start since WSU’s 0-2 start); OG Reed Lesuma (popular senior gets first WSU start on Senior Day); TE Zach Tatman (former junior college basketball player earns his first WSU start); FS Xavier Hicks (tied with Kristick for 3rd in Pac-10 in tackles).
