BOISE STATE: Defender Lindsay Roberts (Richland) has started in 17 matches this season for the 8-6-4 women's soccer team. She has one assist.
CARROLL (MONTANA): Rachael Lowe (Richland) is a sophomore midfielder for the women's soccer team.
CWU: Freshman Marcy Hjellum (Kamiakin) had career-highs of 16 kills and 22 digs to lead the volleyball team to an 18-25, 25-23, 25-15, 25-16 win over Northwest Nazarene on Saturday.
CONCORDIA (PORTLAND): Alex Young (WWCC) has a goal in 10 starts for the 11-4-1 men's soccer team this season.
EASTERN OREGON: Julie Butterfield (WWCC) has 39 blocks this season for the 13-8 women's volleyball team. Teammate Noelle Carstens (WWCC) has also played in 14 matches for the Mountaineers.
EWU: Brittany Sparks (Kamiakin) scored her 11th goal of the season and 14th of her career (both school records) as the women's soccer team lost 4-2 to Northern Arizona on Oct. 25. Coming into this season, the former single-season record had been seven. ... Alysha Cook (Kennewick) hit at a .538 clip (7-0-13), while Sara Todorovich (Walla Walla) hit .429 (6-0-14) as the volleyball team knocked off Montana State 25-21, 25-19, 25-22 on Oct. 30.
GONZAGA: Derek Cheney (Richland) turned in a second-straight 73 to go with a personal best opening-round 68 to finish at 214 and tied for 15th as trhe men's golf team tied for fifth at the Kaua'i Collegiate Invitational at Puakea Golf Course on Oct. 28.
MONTANA: Brittany Quick (Hanford) has 139 kills and Stephanie Turner (Dayton) has 110 for the 10-12 women's volleyball team this season.
OREGON INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY: Miranda Weitz (CBC) and Joey Larsen (CBC) both play for the 6-18 women's volleyball team. Weitz has a team-high 53 blocks, while Larsen leads the team with 278 digs.
College of St. Rose: Meagan McKinney (Kamiakin) is playing for the women's soccer team at the Albany, N.Y., school. The team is 18-0 going into the Northeast 10 Conference tournament. McKinney is the only freshman who is starting. The Saint Rose defense has shut out 11 of its last 12 opponents and has allowed just four goals all year, none in the first half. McKinney was also named to the 2009 Rookie Northeast 10 All Conference team.
TENNESSEE: Junior Carl Jones (Walla Walla) raced to a victory in the 1000 meters with a 9:34.77 as the men's swim team defeated Kentucky 180-120 on Friday. Fellow ex-Tri-City Channel Cat Patrick Beasley finished the 200 butterfly in 1:52.44. For Beasley and Jones, it marked their first career race victories.
WHITWORTH: Jeff Erlenmeyer (Moses Lake) stopped Cody Pohren for no gain on fourth down in the second overtime to give the football team a come-from-behind 24-21 win over visiting Pacific Lutheran University on Saturday.
