WSU's Bone lands all-state center

From Herald news services

PULLMAN -- Two-time All-State center Steven Bjornstad of Vancouver's Columbia River High School is joining Washington State's basketball team.

Cougars coach Ken Bone announced the 6-foot-10 Bjornstad signed a financial aid agreement with WSU.

Bone said the two-time Class 3A All-State player adds depth to a position of need for the Cougars.

Bjornstad averaged 15.6 points, 10.5 rebounds and four blocks per game last season as Columbia River finished second at the state championship.
