Fever adds 2 rookies to 2009 roster

KENNEWICK -- New faces continued to pop up on the Tri-Cities Fever roster Monday as the arenafootball2 league office assigned two more rookies to the 2009 team.

First-year coach Richard Davis added lineman Justin Funderburk (6-foot-4, 275) and wide receiver/defensive back Kiel McDonald (5-10, 205).

Funderburk, out of Humboldt State, was a member of the Amarillo Dusters last season, while McDonald played his senior season at the University of Idaho.

The two newest additions bring the Fever roster to six, with five of those players rookies.

Phil Goodman, who is a three-year af2 veteran, is the only returning player to have signed with the Fever.
