Richland natives Ryan Brown and Robyn Poulson picked up their first win at the Titanium Man Triathlon at Columbia Park, with each defeating the 2007 champion.
Poulson also collected her third consecutive 3-Rivers Multi-Sport Series championship.
Brown, 32, had placed in the top 10 in the last five years -- including runner-up finishes the last two years -- before recording the only sub-2-minute mark Saturday, finishing in 1 minute, 55.34 seconds.
Michael Bergquist of Moses Lake, a two-time champion who edged out Brown for the title last year, was second in 2:01.23 in a close finish with Brian Schur of Kennewick (2:01.47).
Poulson had finished second to Suzanne Endsley of Coeur d'Alene in each of the last two years, including a heartbreaking loss in 2007 when she lost a lengthy lead after having to track down her shoes before the 10-kilometer run.
But Poulson won decisively, clocking a 2:11.40 to beat Eve Nelson of Spokane (2:14.44) by over three minutes. Kristin Anderson of Pasco finished tihrd in 2:20.26.
