Fever to decide this week on coach's fate

By the Herald staff

The Tri-Cities Fever is expected to make a decision this week on the future of coach Cedric Walker.

"We are still evaluating things right now," said Fever general manager Randy Schillinger.

Walker, in his first season with the Fever, led the team to a 4-12 record that culminated with a seven-game losing streak to end the season.

Before Saturday's season-ending loss to Central Valley, the Fever had lost its previous five games by 18 or more points.

Walker, who coached in Everett last season, has a combined 10-22 af2 coaching record.

He is the second coach for the Fever in as many seasons in the af2.
