A weeking full of eating!

Maybe because I was never in Brownies or Girl Scouts that I don't feel a connection with the little girls who once a year try to sell us their over-priced cookies.

That doesn't stop me from ponying up the nearly $5 a box for some Somoas, which are my absolute favorite non-homemade cookie.

Instead of coming home to find a girl scout at my front door, there was a bright orange notice taped to my fiancι's car window, demanding him to move it or lose it. Apparently, his broken-down Nissan Altima was an "eye-sore" for the HBA and instead of asking us, they had the police do their dirty work.

Okay, so we had this coming. At least we don't have little rat dogs that run around the block unsupervised, like some people... I'm not naming names, but you know who you are...

This weekend my friend is turning a quarter-century, so I'm heading to the west side to celebrate. It's also an excuse to eat fabulous west-side food.

If you haven't been to Piroshky Piroshky, something must be wrong with you. The savory pastries are worth the hazardous four-hour drive. Pike's Market...gotta love it.

I'm excited to hit up Uwajimaya to stock up on Korean seaweed. It's the best when you're poor and just have a big pot of rice in front of you. What's also in the International district? Bubble Tea.

To my delight, Korean superstar BoA is releasing an American album. While her first single Eat You Up is a bold statement, the song her publicists are trying to push is I Did It For Love, which is really... lacking. While I applaud any Asian singer trying to make it in the western world, it's very difficult. I may get blasted for saying this, but BoA's accent is still pretty strong, making her debut effort a little distracting. Sure, she's cute, can dance and can speak conversational English - but she might not be ready just yet. She's no Kristine Sa.

Speaking of Asian superstars, I used to love Tila Tequila... until she did the second A Shot At Love reality dating show. I still love her non-apologetic demeanor, but somehow I feel like she'll always be associated with being a skank. See below:
