BethZilla is your go-to woman for music and entertainment in the Tri-Cities. A writer, photographer, videographer and blogger extraordinaire, she speaks her mind on anything and everything.

This morning, I strolled to work with my freshly made vegetable, tofu and beef stir-fry in hand. As I was humming my own tune, I see our publisher walking towards the back door.
Every lunch, our publisher, Rufus M. Friday, uses the company gym to stay in shape; something a lot of us workers should take notice of. I've never seen Mr. Friday sweat and have yet to see him look any level of exhausted.
"Hey, there!" I hollered, as he got closer. Okay, Bethany - I think to myself - don't get nervous. Just be yourself.
But it's too late. My brain instantaneously goes blank and I try to think of something we have in common to talk about.
"So what do you have going on this week?" he asked me. Uhh...I searched deep. Okay, you just went over your schedule this morning - you obviously have something you need to do!
"Umm...TV?" I blurted out.
I don't know why, but that man makes me nervous. The fact that he's the main head guy is scary. It's like back in high school, when the popular kid would approach the unpopular kid and the unpopular kid is like, "You know my name?!"
Which is silly, because our publisher knows all of our names. He is like the all-seeing eye...kind of like the Eye of Sauron, but not evil.
Without sounding fangirl-ish, (don't want people to get the wrong idea) Mr. Friday is pretty approachable. His smiles are genuine and you can tell he truly listens when you have a conversation. Perhaps that's why those conversations are so nerve-racking to me - I don't want to waste his time with some silly mumbo jumbo about Nerdcore music.
But for the rest of you out there, I'll presume to waste your time to the fullest. Tomorrow morning, bright 'n early, Beefy will be performing on Good Morning Northwest, which is KVEW-ABC. So look up your local cable channels and catch a censored Beefy perform music from his latest album Rolling Doubles, which is available on Amazon and iTunes.
I'm looking for some fun, new talent for First Night this year. We've been getting a couple submissions and unfortunately there are only 5 slots. I plan to have a set lineup by the end of October, so if you're in a band, there's still a chance!
