Patio Sessions ft. 45th Parallel

The rock trio 45th Parallel perform three acoustic songs and sit down for a quick Q&A during AtomicTown's Patio Sessions.

The guys are working on their second album, due out towards the end of the year. With six songs already in the mix, the guys plan on rehearsing tons and writing just as much.

The guys have a show up at Soap Lake for the Run to the Sun Festival on July 17 and 18th.

"Love you Tri-Cities -- come rock out with us soon!" said singer and guitarist Mike Rhodes.

Favorite Candy:
MR: Butterfinger. Especially with Mountain Dew.
RR: Reese's Peanut Butter Cups
JW: Swedish fish.

Favorite Band:
MR: Porcupine Tree
RR: I like Windowpane, out of seattle.
JW: Primus

Musician he can't stand:
MR: Marilyn Manson.
RR: Most of what you hear on the radio.
JW: Daughtry. Something about that guy. He's too pretty.

If you could open for one band:
MR: Open for Rush.
RR: Open for Porcupine Tree.
JW: I'd open for Dave Matthews. His new album is amazing.

If you ruled Tri-Cities for a day...:
JW: One major rock festival.
MR: Bring everyone together, music venue and have everyone stay because that would be the rule and it's our rule. Call it "Music Ranch."
JW: I'd call it "Disturbed Opens For Us."

What are your hobbies:
MR: Yard work. I build things, chop wood.
RR: Snowboarding, videography, graphic art, a little bit of everything.
JW: Shopping. How many times have I come back, like "Hey guys look what I got!"

Favorite video game:
MR: Gran Turismo 3
JW:Anything from The Elder Scrolls.
RR: Pong. The first game rocked.

Playstation or Xbox 360?:
MR: I have a playstation but I never play it.
RR: I don't have either
JW: X box 360.

Favorite action movie:
MR: Star Trek
RR: The Matrix.
JW: Kingdom of Heaven

Favorite romantic comedy:
MR: Fools Gold, 50 first dates.
RR: How to lose a guy in 10 days
JW: Must Love Dogs

Favorite junk food:
MR: Chicken wings.
RR: The Jalapeno cheetos rock.
JW: Isn't everything junk food now? Pringles have these mozzarella sticks with marinara sauce flavor, they're so good. I found them at Walmart.

Two items you can't leave home without:
MR: Cell phone, wallet. They say 90 percent will turn around for their cell phone and nothing else.
RR: but you know what they won't turn around for? Their keys.
JW: But don't they have to have their keys to turn around?
RR: You're fast, dude.
JW: I deserved it...
