Greg keeps Hopps perfect in UL heat 2A

Immediately after finishing heat 2C for unlimited hydroplanes, Greg Hopp jumped into the cockpit of his UL-15 Happy Go Lucky and took it to first place in heat 2A for unlimited lights.

Hopp held off an early charge from Michael Flaherty in the UL-11 Miss Executif and Kayleigh Perkins in the UL-72 Miss Boat Electric for the win. Flaherty was second, followed by Wil Muncey in the UL-00 Traficade Racing.

Perkins did not finish in the UL-72 after going dead at the beginning of lap 2. Brian Richards was unable to get the UL-4 Shoreline Sign & Awning started for the heat.

The victory was the UL-15 team’s second of the weekend and seals its position in the final heat.

Flaherty should also make the final with a first and second.
