Eisenhower 37, Kamiakin 27

By the Herald staff

YAKIMA -- Joe Fuerst ran for 144 yards and a pair of fourth-quarter touchdowns, including one with 5:47 to play that gave Eisenhower the lead for good as the Cadets beat Kamiakin in a matchup of CBBN Cascade unbeatens.

His second followed a three-and-out by the Braves and came with just over 3 minutes left.

"It was frustrating," said Kamiakin coach Scott Biglin. "We had our moments to put the kibosh on it, but when we give Ike those chances to get back into the game, it's tough to beat them."

The Braves regained the lead early in the fourth quarter on a 7-yard halfback pass from Dom Davis to Tim White, who finished with nine catches for 131 yards and two TDs.

There were five lead changes in the game.

Kamiakin 7 7 6 7 -- 27
