YAKIMA -- Defending 2B state champion DeSales gets a rematch from the first week of the season to open the playoffs.
The top-ranked Lightning defeated the sixth-ranked Irish 32-22 at Marquette Stadium.
DeSales needs better games from senior RB Bryce Hayunga, who rushed for only 52 yards in the opener, and QB Pat Richard (12-of-24 for 85 yards) to topple the Lightning, who outscored opponents 432-88 in the regular season.
