SPOKANE -- Here is a preview of today's DeSales vs. La Salle state playoff game:

WALLA WALLA -- Pat Richard completed 9 of 15 passes for 192 yards and five touchdowns -- three of them to Ryan Baumgart to lead DeSales to a decisive first-round 2B playoff win over White Swan.

ASOTIN -- Ryan Baumgart's 70-yard kickoff return following Asotin's final touchdown broke a 36-36 tie, and DeSales went on to upset the Panthers in Southeast 2B play.

DAYTON -- Zach Simpkins ran for 144 yards and two touchdowns as Liberty Christian picked up its first Southeast 2B win of the season.

WAITSBURG -- Zach Bartlow accounted for two second-quarter TDs as Waitsburg-Prescott took a 20-7 halftime lead and improved to 4-1 in the Southeast 2B and 7-1 overall with a home victory over Pomeroy (2-3, 4-4).

RICHLAND -- Zach St. John ran for 194 yards and three touchdowns at Tekoa-Oakesdale/Rosalia kept Liberty Christian winless in Southeast 2B play by beating the Patriots at Hanford High.

ASOTIN -- Zach Bartlow's 1-yard TD run got Waitsburg-Prescott close, but Riley Spooner's interception in the final 2 minutes helped seal Asotin's victory in a matchup of Southeast 2B unbeatens.

RICHLAND -- Southeast 2B leader Asotin improved to 7-0 overall as Riley Spooner had five rushing touchdowns and 278 yards on the ground during a road victory over Liberty Christian.

WAITSBURG -- Zach Bartlow's two fourth-quarter touchdown passes lifted Waitsburg-Prescott (3-0, 6-0) past visiting DeSales (3-1, 4-3) in Southeast 2B action.

WALLA WALLA -- Pat Richard accounted for more than 400 yards of offense as he ran and passed DeSales over visiting Pomeroy.

ROSALIA -- Zac Bortlow threw a TD pass in each of the first three quarters to lead Waitsburg-Prescott to an easy road victory.

WALLA WALLA -- Nick Wales and Kyle Lindgren each ran for more than 100 yards as DeSales jumped out to a 56-0 halftime lead and cruised to a win over winless Dayton.

POMEROY -- Zach Simpkins ran for 177 yards and three fourth-quarter touchdowns in Liberty Christian's Southeast 2B defeat.

RICHLAND -- Zach Bartlow quarterbacked Waitsburg-Prescott (4-0 overall) to a 41-0 halftime lead and rolled to a Southeast 2B league opener over Liberty Christian in a game played at Hanford High School.

ROSALIA -- Pat Richard ran for three scores and threw for another to lead visiting DeSales (2-2 overall) over Tekoa-Oakesdale/Rosalia to open Southeast B League action.

DAYTON -- Weston-McEwen built a 19-0 halftime lead, and Dayton (0-3) struggled against the TigerScots blitz in dropping a nonleague game.

DAVENPORT -- Zach Bartlow accounted for three touchdowns, including a 68-yard pass to Dorian Tiburcio, as Waitsburg-Prescott won the nonleague road game after spotting Davenport a first-quarter TD.

RICHLAND -- Zack Simpkins ran for 99 yards and two scores, but it wasn't enough for Liberty Christian to keep pace with Enterprise, Ore., in a nonleague game at Hanford High.

COLFAX -- Pat Richard finished with 108 rushing and a pair of late touchdowns as DeSales fell on the road in a nonleague matchup with Colfax.

ATHENA, Ore. -- Zach Simpkins earned two TDs and rushed for 161 yards as Liberty Christian beat host Weston-McEwen in a nonleaguer.

MILTON-FREEWATER, Ore. -- Pat Richard accounted for 327 yards and four touchdowns for DeSales in a nonleague victory over border rival McLaughlin High.

PILOT ROCK, Ore. -- Zach Bartlow threw for 247 yards and three touchdows to lead Waitsburg-Prescott to a nonleague victory in Oregon.

RICHLAND -- Zach Simpkins ran for 107 yards and the Patriots' lone touchdown as Liberty Christian dropped its season opener to White Swan at Hanford High School.

WALLA WALLA -- Tony Cacchiotti scored on a pair of second-quarter TD runs to lead a balanced ground game as visiting LaSalle shut out DeSales.

RICHLAND -- Beau Nichols scored three times to get Liberty Christian its first win, catching touchdown passes of 66 and 70 yards, running 20 yards for another score and kicking four extra points in the Southeast 2B contest in Hanford.

WAITSBURG -- Creighton Alford completed 10 of 18 passing attempts for 265 yards and five touchdowns as visiting Asotin defeated Waitsburg-Prescott.

WALLA WALLA -- Bryce Hayunga ran for two scores and scored the game's first TD on the 32-yard reception as DeSales ran past visiting Waitsburg-Prescott.

ASOTIN -- Liberty Christensen's Beau Nichols scored in the second half on two long runs during a road loss to Asotin.

POMEROY -- Pat Richard threw for a pair of first-half touchdowns to keep DeSales close, then he ran for two second-half scores against Pomeroy as the Irish rallied on the road and remained in a three-way tie for first in the Southeast 2B standings.

ASOTIN -- Jacob Kleck's 55-yard TD run in the third quarter helped Dayton avoid being shut out as Asotin (5-1, 3-0) remained tied for the Southeast 2B lead.

WAITSBURG -- Ryan Mason completes 6-of-11 passes for 211 yards and three touchdowns as Waitsburg-Prescott rolled over visiting Tekoa-Oakesdale/Rosalia in Southeast 2B action.
