CBBN boys roundup

KENNEWICK -- Andrew Mendenhall scored 21 points and Southridge kept its district playoff hopes alive with a CBBN Columbia home win, 69-51, over Moses Lake.

Matt Mendenhall added six rebounds and six assists for the Suns, who moved within a game of Moses Lake for the fourth and final district berth.

If the teams finish tied, they will have a one-game playoff for the berth.

WALLA WALLA -- Brett Jacobs came alive in the second half and finished with 17 points on 4-of-6 shooting from 3-point range to help Richland knock off Walla Walla in CBBN Cascade play.

Bombers coach Earl Streufert also credited Dylan Radliff, who scored seven points, with sparking the rally from a 25-22 halftime deficit.

"Dylan came in off the bench and gave us a lift. He played solid," Streufert said.

KENNEWICK -- Les Henderson scored 19 points, and Davis built a double-digit lead after one quarter and went on to beat winless Kennewick in CBBN Columbia play at the Lions Den.

The Lions got as close as eight early in the third quarter before faltering. Tyler Morfin led Kennewick with 14 points.
