CBBN boys: Davis holds off Pasco

YAKIMA -- Robert Montano scored 21 points and dished out six assists, but it wasn't enough for Pasco to overcome serious foul trouble nor Davis' freshmen uprising in the CBBN Columbia contest that went to Davis 79-78.

Davis shot a whopping 51 free throws -- making 24 of them; the Bulldogs themselves were busy at the line going 18-for-29.

RICHLAND -- Kevin Hodgson had 17 points to lead Hanford, but Gary Winston had 21 points to lead a strong Walla Walla offense that jumped out to a 17-6 lead in the first quarter and never looked back in a CBBN Cascade contest in Richland.

Pete Zachara added 10 points and six rebounds for the Falcons.

Andrew Mendenhall scored 18 points to lead the Suns.
