Roundup: Bombers sweep Suns for 1st CBBN loss

KENNEWICK -- Chelsey Bettinson had a game-high 12 kills for Richland, which knocked Southridge from the ranks of the unbeaten with a 25-11, 25-16, 25-23 CBBN victory in Kennewick.

Combined with Eisenhower's five-set win at West Valley, that leaves no undefeated teams in the league just three weeks into the season.

"We had a tough loss on Thursday (a five-set loss to Kamiakin), but a good practice yesterday," said Bombers coach Bob Raidl. "Players came in constant, one of those days where things worked out pretty well."

Jill McDaniels had 29 assists for the Blue Devils, while Kelsey Julian led the attack for the Lions with 10 kills, 15 digs and six blocks.
