Softball roundup: Southridge clinches share of title

PASCO -- Courtney Hancock drove in Allyx Copeland with a two-out single in the top of the seventh inning to lift Southridge to a sweep of Pasco at the TRAC complex, clinching a share of the CBBN Columbia title and the No. 1 district seed with a 2-1 win in Game 2.

The Suns won the opener behind a 10-strikeout performance by Caitlin Klepper, with Kristin Ingalls driving in three runs and Heather Worley two.

KENNEWICK -- Whitney Hunter singled home Breanne Feser with the winning run in the seventh inning of Game 1 for Kamiakin, but the Braves lost in the nightcap at Lawrence Scott Park and were denied a share of the CBBN Cascade title.

Kamiakin is the division's No. 2 district seed and plays host to Kennewick in the first round next Thursday.
