SPOKANE -- The Hanford boys qualified four golfers to next week's 3A state tournament at Meadow Springs Country Club, led by sophomore Scott Kim's third-place finish at the regional tournament at Downriver Golf Course.

SPOKANE -- The last of the state qualifying tournaments is today at Downriver in Spokane as the 3A Eastern Regionals take place.

The Othello boys and girls used depth to defeat Ephrata and went on to claim the Central Washington Athletic Conference golf tournaments.

MOSES LAKE -- Sophomore Mary McDonald of Richland shot 1-under-par 71 to earn medalist honors in the Columbia Basin Big Nine district golf tournament at Moses Lake Golf Club.

ROSYLN -- Royal's Lacy Goroski won a three-way playoff to capture medalist honors at the SCAC girls district championships on Suncadia's Prospector Course, defeating Cle Elum's Taylor Rico and Highland's Cassie Hampton after all three shot 101s.

Wednesday's Tri-City Girls Championships highlighted the depth of the Richland team.

SUNNYSIDE -- Prosser's Chad Hancock carded a 10-over 72 at Black Rock Creek to share medalist honors at a Central Washington Athletic Conference boys match with Selah, Wapato and Quincy.

WENATCHEE -- Spencer Ellis of Eastmont shot 3-under 69 at Wenatchee Country Club to earn medalist honors and Walla Walla scored 306 to lead all teams Monday afternoon at the CBBN all-league pod.

SUNNYSIDE — Tyler Sugden and Jimmy Wood each shot 12-over 84 to lead Selah to a Central Washington Athletic Conference victory.

Led by Mary McDonald's second-place finish and Brittany Zier's tie for third, the Richland girls wrapped up the CBBN title by winning the fifth and final pod match Wednesday at Black Rock Creek.

KENNEWICK -- Kamiakin won the Tri-City High School Championships behind the efforts of Riley Hayfield and Rick Gleed, who each shot 2-over 74 at Canyon Lakes to share medalist honors with Austin Westphal of rival Southridge.

Samson Martinez of Pasco shot an even-par 72 on Monday at Spokane Country Club to finish in a tie for second at the Inland Empire tournament, one stroke behind medalist Peter Gullickson of Lewis & Clark.

WENATCHEE -- Richland's Mary McDonald shot a 9-over 81 to win a Columbia Basin Big Nine girls match at Three Lakes Golf Course in Wenatchee and lead the Bombers to their fourth league victory in as many tries.

SPOKANE -- Mary McDonald shot a 12-over 84 to record Richland's best score at the Big East Girls Invitational at Wandermere.

It took Hanford sophomore Scott Kim more than a year to pick up his first career victory at last week's CBBN boys match at Canyon Lakes.

WARDEN -- Nate Stott shot a 12-over 83 to tie for medalist honors and help the Warden boys beat Cle Elum by a stroke in a three-team South Central Athletic Conference match at Sage Hills.

PENDLETON -- Walla Walla had three golfers break 80 to win the Pendleton Invite by a stroke over Lewiston.

YAKIMA -- Mary McDonald shot 9-over-par 81, a stroke behind Ike medalist Christine Cook, to help Richland roll to a 43-stroke victory in a Columbia Basin Big Nine girls pod match at Apple Tree.

Scott Kim would have classified his season before Wednesday's All-CBBN boys pod match as so-so.

KENNEWICK -- Scott Kim carded a 2-under-par 70 for medalist honors and he led Hanford to a two-stroke victory over Southridge in a 14-team CBBN boys pod match at Canyon Lakes.

RICHLAND -- Josh Harvey shot a 1-under 71 to lead four Hanford golfers in the top 11 as the Falcons edged Eastmont by two shots for team honors at a CBBN boys pod match at Columbia Point Golf Course.

Richland junior Gina Ojeda shot a 9-over 74 to win the All-CBBN girls golf match Wednesday at Tri-City Country Club.

KENNEWICK -- Rick Gleed shot 7-over 79 to edge Kamiakin teammate Jordan Bohlander by a stroke in a four-team tournament at Canyon Lakes.

KENNEWICK -- Richland took the top three spots, lead by medalist Gina Ojeda's 9-over 74, en route to an easy victory at the All-Columbia Basin Big Nine girls tournament at Tri-City Country Club.

PASCO -- Gina Ojeda and Hope Neidhold won the scrambler portion of the Pasco Girls Golf Invitational to help Richland to the team title with 41.5 points.

PENDLETON, Ore. -- Walla Walla's Greg Prins recorded a 2-under-par 70 to edge Hanford's Alex Cantu by a stroke for medalist honors Monday at the Wildhorse Invite.

LIBERTY LAKE -- Madeleine Roach of DeSales earned medalist honors with a 92, and Tri-Cities Prep advanced six through the District 7/9 1B/2B sub-regional tournament played Tuesday at Liberty Lake near Spokane

Kelsey Johnson of Pasco shot a 75 to take medalist honors, Neddy Martinez shot a 78 and the Bulldogs finished with a team score of 346 -- second place -- as Johnson and Martinez qualified for state at the CBL 4A district tournament at Sun Willows on Monday afternoon.
