The postseason is in full swing now, and Friday is a busy day on the Mid-Columbia diamonds.
CBL 4A: The district tournament plays out at Richland and Moses Lake. At Bomber Field, Eisenhower and Wenatchee play a loser-out game at 1 p.m., with the winner facing the defending state champion Bombers at 4 p.m. In Moses Lake, Pasco takes on Davis at 1 p.m, with the winner playing the hosts at 4.
Richland will play host to Saturday's games deciding the CBL's No. 1 team to state and the No. 2 team that will play the Greater Spokane League's No. 2 team Tuesday for a second berth.
The regional round of state play is May 17 at Gonzaga Prep.
CBL 3A: The CBL/GSL regional took a decided turn in favor of the CBL teams, which swept the three matchups with their Spokane counterparts Tuesday.
The loser-out game between Hanford and Southridge, originally slated for Friday, has been moved to 10 a.m. Saturday at Southridge because of a conflict with district track. The winner of that game will play the winner of Friday's West Valley-Mount Spokane game at 1 p.m. at Roy Johnson Field for the third seed to state. Kamiakin and Kennewick, each with a state berth already secured, then play for the regional title at 4.
The regional round of state will be at Parker Field in Yakima.
CWAC 2A: Friday's schedule has a pair of loser-out games (Prosser at Quincy, Wapato at Othello) along with the semifinals: Ephrata at East Valley and Ellensburg at Selah. All start at 4 p.m.
Selah will play host to Saturday's games, with the top two teams moving on to the regional round of state at Davis High in Yakima. The No. 3 team will play in the regional in Chehalis.
SCAC 1A: River View plays at Highland and Columbia (Burbank) at Goldendale in loser-out games at 4 p.m. The semifinals, also at 4, are Kiona-Benton at Naches Valley and Warden at Connell.
Saturday's games at Moses Lake will determine the seeding of the four teams going to state. Nos. 2 and 3 will play at the state regional in Moses Lake; Nos. 1 and 4 will play in Wenatchee.
Blue Mountain: The 2B tourney is Saturday at Borleske Stadium in Walla Walla. Tekoa-Oakesdale/ Rosalia plays Waitsburg-Prescott in a loser-out Game 1, followed by Asotin and DeSales in the district title game. The loser of that game plays the winner of Game 1 for the second berth to state.
In the 1B ranks at Pasco's Gesa Stadium, the four semifinalists (Pateros vs. Colton, Garfield-Palouse vs. Touchet) will be whittled to three state qualifiers. The No. 1 and 3 seeds will begin state at Naches Valley, while No. 2 will play at Eisenhower in Yakima.
