He had two pins and a major decision in winning the 112-pound title at the Bob Mars Invitational on Saturday. He shared lightweight wrestler of the meet honors.
Girls Basketball
Laura Hughes, Soph., Hanford
She had 13 points and eight rebounds in a win Friday over Eisenhower, then had 20 points and 11 rebounds in a win Saturday over Richland.
Boys Basketball
Ryan McKinney, Sr., Richland
He had 15 points in a season-opening win over Southridge on Friday, then scored the game's first 11 points and finished with 24 in a win Saturday over Hanford.
Football
Steve Natho, Sr., Prosser
He set a 2A state finals record by running for three touchdowns, and he rushed for a game-high 93 yards on 16 carries as Mustangs won their fourth title.
