Johnson, Bradley top junior triathletes (w/ photo gallery)

Joel Johnson of Richland and Lindsey Bradley of West Richland were the winners of the 11-12-year-old age division at the 2008 Titanium Man Junior Triathlon held Saturday at Howard Amon Park.

Johnson completed the race -- a 200-yard swim, 4.5-mile bike and 1-mile run -- in 28 minutes and 4 seconds for the boys championship.

Bradley finished the course in 32:05 to shine as the girls overall leader.

Other race leaders for the boys were Ryan Engledow (30:47) in the 9-10 bracket and Kelton Buechler (32:26) for ages 7-8.

RaiAnn Garcia finished in 34:07 to lead the 9-10 division for the girls, and Makenna Reitz clocked in at 36:30 to earn the top spot for girls ages 7-8.

Boys division

Ages 11-12--1, Joel Johnson 28:04; 2, Zach Bunce 33.04; 3, Ashton Pollick 33.39; 4, Benjamin Brooks 35.35.

9-10--1, Ryan Engledow 30.47; 2, Jose Winton 32.10; 3, Trevor McLaughlin 32.39.

7-8--1, Kelton Buechler 32.26; 2, Josiah Johnson 36.50; 3, Calem McCall 37.06.

Girls division

11-12--1, Lindsey Bradley 32.05; 2, Delaney Anderson 32.12; 3, Kaileah Akker 33.33; 4, Cheyenne Poulson 35.04.

9-10--1, RaiAnn Garcia 34.07; 2, McKaley Goffard 36.15; 3, Kelly Brown 36.50.

7-8--1, Makenna Reitz 36.30; 2, Salma Preppernau 42.15; 3, Madeline Bunce 42.18.
