A beverage distribution group that includes a company with a branch in Kennewick announced Tuesday that it plans to acquire a portion of Alaska Distributors Co.
CoHo Distributing, the name of the soon-to- be merged business, which will be made up of Columbia Distributing Company, Mt. Hood Beverage Company and Gold River Distributing, intends to take over the Western Washington beer and portions of the nonalcoholic beverage business of Alaska Distributors.
Mt. Hood Beverage Company has a branch in Kennewick.
Young's Columbia also will purchase part of Alaska Distributors Western Washington wine business that will be serviced by CoHo.
The addition will bring CoHo's annual sales to more than 40 million cases of beer and nonalcoholic beverages.
