SEATTLE An estimated 100 gallons of fuel leaked from a 40-foot tug boat that partially sank Tuesday morning at a dock in the Duwamish River at Seattle, at Harbor Island Marina.
Workers in the area smelled diesel about 3 a.m. and discovered the vessel resting on the bottom with its wheelhouse above the water line.
The Coast Guard and state Ecology Department responded.
KING-TV reports workers placed a boom in the water to contain the fuel. A diver went into the water to seal the fuel tank.
